A Little About Me

Mark Holdeman is an accomplished operating executive, entrepreneur, business builder, and turnaround leader with more than four decades of experience helping organizations navigate growth, operational change, business recovery, and complex business transitions. Throughout his career, Mark has built businesses from the ground up, led distressed organizations back to profitability, and guided companies through manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, sales, and organizational transformations.

Mark combines the strategic perspective of an executive with the hands-on mindset of an operator. Known for his energetic leadership style and bias for action, he has repeatedly stepped into situations where organizations faced significant operational, financial, or execution challenges and helped align people, processes, and priorities around a common objective. He believes success comes from learning agility, accountability, and disciplined execution. One of his guiding principles is:” If there is something we need to know to be successful, we will know it soon.”

Prior to co-founding New Oaks Consulting, Mark held leadership positions with Aventis Pasteur, now Sanofi Pasteur, where he served in sales, product management, forecasting, commercialization, key account management, and strategic planning roles. During a period of significant acquisition and integration activity, he helped identify opportunities to improve production planning and global product allocation, supporting more data-driven decision making across international operations.

Mark later founded VaxServe, a specialized vaccine distribution platform created to address critical cold-chain distribution challenges within the healthcare industry. The business quickly grew into one of the industry’s leading vaccine distribution platforms and remains a significant participant in the vaccine marketplace today. He also served as President and COO of United Fiberglass of America, where he led a successful turnaround during bankruptcy by rebuilding operational performance, restoring profitability, and positioning the business for eventual sale.

At New Oaks Consulting, Mark helps organizations navigate operational turnarounds, supply chain transformations, facility consolidations, manufacturing improvements, sales force effectiveness initiatives, and acquisition-related transitions. His work has included leading the transition of more than 4,100 components from a domestic supply network of over 100 suppliers to seven strategic manufacturing partners in China, restructuring fulfillment and planning processes for major automotive aftermarket brands, and directing complex facility closure and consolidation efforts under aggressive timelines. These experiences include recovering customer relationships threatened by fulfillment failures and leading successful facility transitions involving large backlogs, asset transfers, and operational consolidation.

Mark is particularly known for creating accountability systems that connect measurements, incentives, forecasting, operational planning, and execution. His ability to bridge strategy and implementation helps organizations improve visibility, increase decision quality, and deliver measurable business results.

Throughout his career, Mark has led organizations ranging from entrepreneurial startups to businesses generating more than $100 million in annual revenue, managed operations involving hundreds of employees, and worked with many of the largest retailers, distributors, healthcare organizations, and industrial customers across North America.

Mark is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and graduate of the Leadership at the Peak program through the Center for Creative Leadership. He holds bachelor’s degrees in marketing and finance from Wright State University. Outside of business, Mark is a devoted husband, father, and avid cyclist. His leadership philosophy is grounded in faith, servant leadership, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution.
